No Strings Attached

How many of us have been damaged by relationships or friendships who commanded something in return for having done favors? Maybe that boyfriend was physically abusive to you because you didn't do everything he asked of you, or maybe your parents didn't show you the correct love because you didn't turn out the way they imagined. And many times because of this distorted version of love or lack of, we've never been exposed to an unconditional love or what I like to call a "no strings attached kind of love."
The world is perfect at demonstrating the wrong type of love. Mending broken hearts together, promoting that money and sex is the definition of love. And sadly, this so called love has lead to depression, suicide, and a hardened heart. Real love cannot be purchased, forced, or manipulated. Real love is when someone accepts you for who you are and walks side by side through all your ugly and beautiful phases. Real love isn't ashamed, it doesn't wait until you screw up to leave you, it doesn't hide from you when you need it, it isn't a favor but an action of its nature, and most importantly it will never hurt you.
God is real love..

Romans 5:8 - but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
A love that made the decision to die for us, an action that has changed lives. An action that pursues you and I daily. There isn't anything you can or can't do to receive that love, there isn't a checklist at the end of the day to be completed to believe you are loved. Don't allow your past mistakes or past hurts to make you believe that you are disqualified to receive this love. This love isn't earned, it isn't given to those who are prettier or better, this love just does.
Open your heart and believe that God loves you with no strings attached. You are precious, worthy, and knitted in His love.  - believe in this.

Psalm 63:3
Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.
